The mission of the Loudoun Freedom is to establish a vehicle in which players can be afforded the opportunity to develop advanced basketball skills and to play in a competitive environment. The primary goal of the Freedom is to attract the top basketball talent from Loudoun County and its surrounding areas, and in keeping with this goal, the organization is open to all players, regardless of school or neighborhood. The Freedom operates under the guiding principle that by assembling the most talented players in the area, these players will be able to consistently challenge each other to improve their individual skills and make each other better. This will, in turn, help elevate the level of women's basketball across the county.
Fall 2010 Team Formation
We are building teams that will play in a either the MD Flames or the Fairfax Stars Fall 2010 leagues. Below is the preliminary schedule to get players together in order to form teams:
U11/Rising 6th Grade: Friday, August 20 from 7:00-8:30 at Leesburg Christian School
U12/Rising 7th Grade: Saturday, August 21 from 12:00-1:30 at Leesburg Christian School
U13/Rising 8th Grade: Saturday, August 21 from 10:30-12:00 at Leesburg Christian School
Notes:
1. Fielding teams is dependent on having significant, quality turnout of players as well as strong coaches who represent the values and skill sets promoted by the organization.
2. We would need coaches for the rising 6th grade and rising 7th grade team.
3. Teams may not be formed in certain age groups, or some age groups could be merged, if turnout doesn't allow the creation of coherent teams.
